September 4, 2008 -- In a move to protect its intellectual property, Upsite Technologies, Inc. has filed suit in US District Court against Sealeze, Inc., for infringement of Upsite's U.S. Patent 6,632,999. Upsite's patent covers its KoldLok Grommet raised floor product line, which employs closely packed, flexible, static-dissipative bristles as a sealing medium.

The grommets are typically installed in computer rooms that feature openings in their raised flooring to permit pass-through of wires and cabling. If left unsealed, Upsite research indicates such openings typically waste approximately 56 percent of the available conditioned air.

The suit is seeking a judgment against Sealeze for damages and an injunction against infringement.

Peter Crook, CEO of Upsite, comments, "We have successfully protected our patent rights in the past and will continue to do so. We offer our customers innovative products that provide permanent solutions to their problems. When other products use our protected technology or infringe our patent rights, Upsite will take action to prevent the infringement."
