A recent Youtube video takes a detailed look at the "re-use water management system" used for cooling Google's data center in Douglas County, GA. Located within the Chattahoochee River watershed, the data center uses gray (non-potable) water siphoned from a nearby municipal water and sewer treatment authority. The water is then recycled in a "sidestream facility", built by Google, that is employed for 100% of its data center cooling requirements.
