A web seminar to be hosted by Cabling Installation & Maintenance and delivered live on June 20 will examine how the issues of energy consumption, airflow, and equipment cooling are critically intertwined for data center planners and administrators.
The seminar's premise is that a data center is a dynamic entity in that computing and device-powering needs, along with spatial occupancy, can change quickly -- yet, at the same time, a data center is a static construction, in that energy and computing availability, as well as efficient airflow, must be constant.
The seminar will include three separate presentations, entitled: The Economics of Air Flow Management; The Benefits of Overhead Power Distribution in Mission Critical Applications; and Indirect Air-side Economizers - A Better Way to Cool Your Data Center. The presenters will be Keith Dunnavant, P.E., Manager of the Data-Center Cooling Segment, Air Treatment Division, at Munters; and Ian Seaton, Global Technology Manager at Chatsworth Products. Power distribution systems provider STARLINE Track Busway will also provide presentation content for the event.
The webcast will earn each attendee 1 CEC for the following BICSI credentials: RCDD, RITP, DCDC, NTS, Installer 2, Technician, Certified Trainer.
