An upcoming webcast seminar produced by Cabling Installation & Maintenance will address some of the latest technology drivers and solutions related to IP-based surveillance systems.
The online event's premise is as follows: Internet Protocol (IP) based surveillance systems are no longer a promised capability of the future; they are a here-and-now application for the managers of network cabling systems as well as the professionals who specify, design and install those cabling systems. Still, IP-based surveillance technology as a whole continues to evolve and improve. And the physical-layer infrastructure that supports these systems, as part of an enterprise network, must be up to the task.
To be held on August 29, 2012 at 1:00 PM EDT, the online seminar will run for approximately one hour and will contain 3 presentations covering topics including: IP camera capabilities and their impact on the network; cabling infrastructure options for IP cameras; and how to ensure that a cabling system can support IP surveillance applications.
The webcast's presenters will be: Carol Everett Oliver, RCDD and marketing analyst with Berk-Tek, a Nexans Company; Dan Payerle, business unit manager for DataComm Test at IDEAL Industries; and Mark Leedy, director of sales, U.S.Western Region, with Vicon.
