Dissolution is effective May 19; both company presidents commit to standing behind existing warranties.

In a joint statement issued March 4, the presidents of Berk-Tek and Ortronics (Legrand Data Communications) announced that on May 19 the companies will end their NetClear marketing alliance.

“In the coming weeks you can expect to hear more from us individually regarding future product plans,” said the statement from Berk-Tek’s Paul Trunk and Legrand Data Communications’ Mark Panico. “Our first priority, as it has been for the past 15 years, is to assure you, our valued customer, that we are committed to delivering world-class quality products and services throughout this transition period, even as we wind down our alliance activities,” the statement continued.

The two further confirmed they “will stand behind all existing NetClear warranties. Additionally, we are both committed to supporting ongoing offers of NetClear warranties on qualifying solutions during this transition period.

“We recognize that the changes we are making raise some questions,” Trunk and Panico’s statement added. “But be assured that these changes will result in new options to meet your needs. We will continue to collaborate in providing outstanding customer service through this transition.”
