The debate is close: is overhaul ultimately the best approach?

ZDNet's David Chernicoff, writing at his Five Nines: The Next Gen Datacenter blog, contends that, based upon the results of a recent survey, when it comes to planning and managing a successful data center upgrade, while "the debate might be close...I stand by my concerns: Overhaul is the better approach."

"Perhaps it is time to look at a containerized or modular update, allowing you to make significant improvements without having a negative impact on the existing infrastructure," he adds.
