Cisco certifies Proact to supply advanced data center architecture in Europe
Furthering its data center strategy, Proact (Sweden), one of Europe’s leading independent integrators of data storage and cloud solutions, announced that it has been fully certified with Cisco's Advanced Data Center Architecture Specialization. Involving extensive training and tests for both technicians and sales engineers, the certification means that Proact is now one of a select few players in Europe authorized to retail Cisco's complete data center portfolio, including servers and switches.
"We have strict requirements on all our partners and we are happy that Proact, an important partner for us, has demonstrated that they are prepared to invest in Cisco's competencies," comments Greger Jerlehagen, data center manager at Cisco. "Proact has shown that they have the right skill set to be a part of our data center strategy."

Proact and Cisco have a long-standing strategic partnership; prior to the new announcement, Proact was already certified to sell a part of Cisco' data center line. Thanks to the new training and certification initiatives, the cooperation between the companies is now further deepened. "We invest heavily in our data center strategy -- and to become certified to sell the entire Cisco portfolio is an important part of this strategy," says Lena Eskilsson, vice president at Proact.
Founded in 1994, the Proact Group has more than 640 employees, and conducts business in Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway, Slovakia, Spain, the United Kingdom, Sweden and the Czech Republic. The company's solutions cover all elements of data storage, including virtualization, network functions and security. The company says it "has more than 3,500 successful projects behind it, along with vast information volumes which are managed at the Proact data center."
