Milestone Systems names new corporate communications and development chief

Open platform IP video management software supplier Milestone Systems reports that it has promoted from within for a new position at its headquarters. In his new role, Karl Erik Traberg will have overall responsibility for the company's' corporate communications and strategic development.

Traberg has previously been the head of marketing and strategy for the Danish subsidiary of the Japanese company Anritsu (formerly GN NetTest), that is a provider in the telecommunications sector. He has also been director for account marketing and requirements and senior manager for product marketing and sales operations at Alcatel in the United States.

In a press release, Milestone said that one of Traberg's most important tasks will be to ensure synchronization of all communications to both internal and external stakeholders in relation to the company’s new strategies, with the goal to support Milestone’s global position in the video surveillance and physical security industry.

With more than 20 years of international business experience in high-tech sales, marketing, communications, business development and corporate strategy, Traberg was selected for his broad leadership skills, said Milestone. In addition to this work with a number of large international firms, he also has deep knowledge of Milestone Systems, where he has been responsible for business development, strategy and market analysis since 2008, most recently as head of corporate development.

“I welcome Karl Erik in this new role to leverage his history with our company and from his background. He will apply strong skills to orchestrating Milestone’s communications for all of our stakeholders,” commented Lars Thinggaard, president and CEO of Milestone Systems.
