Samsung Techwin America has expanded its WiseNetIII range of high-performance imaging products with the introduction of the SNV-6013 Vandal-Resistant Network Micro-Dome 2 megapixel camera. The company says the SNV-6013 features Samsung’s most advanced imaging technology, to deliver 1080p high-definition images at 60fps, even in challenging lighting conditions.
The SNV-6013 employs Samsung's Super Dynamic Range (SSDR) technology to produce a wide dynamic range of 120dB, and 50dB signal to noise ratio with Samsung Digital Noise Reduction (SSNRIII). The new camera provides high-quality images in as little as 0.3 lux (F2, 50IRE, color) illumination. Additional features include intelligent video analytics, including tampering, virtual line, enter/exit, appear/disappear and face detection, which can trigger an alarm event (FTP file upload, e-mail notification, etc.)

Further, the SNV-6013 supports H.264 (up to 60fps full HD) and MJPEG (up to 30fps) formats and is equipped with a Micro SDX/SDH/SDXC for local recording and storage, ensuring reliable capture of video in the event of a network disruption. It also features video quality adjustment, bitrate control technology, up to 10 streaming profiles, and privacy masking. The camera comes with a standard lens with 103.1° horizontal viewing angle, or an optional wide angle lens version with 165° horizontal viewing angle.
“Our new SNV-6013 Vandal-Resistant Network Micro-Dome camera is designed to deliver exceptional images even in changing lighting conditions,” comments Frank De Fina, Samsung's Executive Vice President, North America. “The combination of its small size, rugged design and high performance provides system designers with a great deal of versatility.”
