TE Connectivity to address DAS, fiber, small cell trends at PCIA Wireless show
TE Connectivity (NYSE: TEL) announced that it will be showcasing its FlexWave digital distributed antenna system (DAS) at the upcoming PCIA Wireless Infrastructure Show (May 20-21) at the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort in Orlando, Florida. In addition, notable TE experts will serve as guest speakers during the show's panel discussions on wireless industry trends.
TE will exhibit in the show’s small cell pavilion at the company's booth 521/620. TE will feature its FlexWave host unit, a new CPRI digital interface unit, the FlexWave Prism remote unit, the FlexWave active integration panel (AIP), as well as the company's fiber connectivity products. TE says the products are designed to reduce costs through network efficiency and deliver more capacity in mobile networks. The company's booth will be open from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on May 20, and from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on May 21.
Tony Lefebvre, product management director for TE, will participate in a panel discussion titled, Wireless Trends Driving Demand for Distributed Antenna Systems on Tuesday, May 20 from 1:30-3:00 p.m. Lefebvre will speak to the evolution of technology to keep pace with a rapidly changing marketplace, including the need for in-building coverage and capacity, the business model for neutral host DAS systems, the opportunities for DAS in dense metro areas, and how DAS can support future network technologies.
In addition, TE business development manager Ryan Chappell will participate in the panel discussion titled Technical and Business Challenges for Powering Small Cells on Tuesday, May 20 from 10:30-11:15 a.m. Chappell will speak to the challenges of providing power to small cells as they become more prolific in urban areas, workplaces and communities, and technical advancements as industry innovators work to mitigate these concerns.
