Highlights of the new DCIM capabilities, according to Raritan, include: rack failover analysis reports that help prevent a single power chain failure from causing downtime; cabinet, asset and item detail reports to quickly perform audits; a cabinet move feature to simplify and quickly move or expand data centers; and expanded data center health maps that monitor critical facilities systems such as CRACs, UPSs and RPPs.
The upgraded DCIM "enables data center professionals to spot incidents before they become problems," says Raritan. Raritan notes that its DCIM system also provides easy-to-use import wizards, auto-discovery features and one of industry’s largest models libraries, to help enable faster data center deployments.
The new DCIM capabilities are available now, and are included at no additional costs to customers with maintenance agreements. The announcement of the new features was made at this week's Gartner Data Center Conference.
