New alliance combines CommScope's iTRACS with HP's Converged Management framework to maximize data center capabilities for businesses.
CommScope announced that it will now partner with HP to provide its iTRACS data center infrastructure management (DCIM) platform with HP’s Converged Management Consulting Services. The companies say the goal of the partnership is "to provide data center owners, operators, and users with improved command-and-control over the IT and facilities resources at the heart of their businesses."
The companies assert that the combination of CommScope's iTRACS DCIM and HP’s converged management framework simplifies and improves the ability of data center managers to manage and optimize their infrastructure to meet their organization’s fast-changing needs.
“HP is an established authority in data center and facilities operations management. Data center managers can keep pace with their needs when running vital business functions as a result of this collaboration,” commented Kevin St. Cyr, senior vice president of Enterprise Solutions, CommScope. He added, “This partnership is an important step in the journey of driving customer-centric infrastructure management.”
The partnership aims to extend the iTRACS platform's capabilities by providing data center decision-makers with enhanced HP infrastructure management solutions to optimize the capacity, availability and efficiency of their infrastructure.
“CommScope’s DCIM is a great fit with HP’s global software-defined infrastructure portfolio to simplify the customer’s experience by providing the best possible infrastructure management solutions for today’s decision makers,” concludes Rick Einhorn, vice president, Technology Services Data Center Consulting, HP. “The partnership will feature infrastructure management tools and services to empower customers with knowledge, speed, and agility to maximize their data center capabilities.”
