IDEAL's Telephone/Data Splice & Repair Kit (Catalog #33-719) features the company's multi-purpose Kinetic Super Wire Stripper that lets installers alternate between stripping, cutting and crimping 22-24 AWG twisted-pair cables to prepare IDC splices.
IDEAL Electrical, a provider of professional-grade tools and supplies for electricians and data communications contractors, is offering a kit that allows telecom installers to forego the cost of purchasing several different hand tools to cut, strip and crimp low voltage cables, plus have a ready supply of IDC connectors on-hand for their next job.
IDEAL's Telephone/Data Splice & Repair Kit (Catalog #33-719) features the company's multi-purpose Kinetic Super Wire Stripper, which lets installers alternate between stripping, cutting and crimping 22-24 AWG twisted-pair cables to prepare IDC splices -- including IDEAL and industry standard UR-I, UY-I, UB-I IDC connectors or "jellybeans" -- all with a single tool that never needs to leave their hands.
Further, the IDEAL IDC Kinetic Super IDC tool has a molded, ergonomic Santoprene handle and features the company's Thumb-Valley finger guide for comfort, along with a cushioned, textured grip that naturally cradles the user's hand, reducing muscle fatigue while also wicking away perspiration. The grip is wider than those found on other strippers so there is noticeably less impact on the palm, notes the company.
In addition to the tool, the kit also features bonus 25 IDC connectors (UR-I, 3 wire butt splice).
