On Tuesday, January 24, at the 2017 BICSI Winter Conference & Exposition in Tampa, FL, Joe Ford, RCDD, and Anthony Frassetta, RCDD, PSP, of Burns Engineering, will present a talk entitled, “Build SMART, Not Hard: The Application of Technology in Today’s Smart Building Environments.”
The presentation will discuss the technologies behind smart building design, how to integrate multiple building systems onto a common network platform, how smart building design affects architecture and how to maintain end-user expectations, and why smart building design is all the buzz in the world of sustainable and efficient design. The discussion will also recommend ways to overcome the challenges faced when coordinating between multiple disciplines on a design team. Attendees will gain a general knowledge of smart building functionality, insight on smart building design, and how smart building design affects efficiency, operations and cost.
