Transition Networks, Inc. announced that it will attend the ISC West international security conference and exhibition, where it will display its power over alternative cabling and PoE+ switching solutions for security and surveillance applications. The largest security industry trade show in the U.S., ISC West is taking place April 5-7, 2017, at the Sands Expo in Las Vegas. Transition Networks will be located in booth 21129.
During the conference, Transition Networks will participate in the Security Industry Association's (SIA) New Product Showcase (NPS), where it will highlight its Ethernet Over 2-Wire Extender With PoE+ solution. GlenNiece Kutsch, product manager with Transition Networks, along with Dennis Troxel, principal sales engineer, will present a brief demonstration of the product to a panel of industry expert judges. The new product, by Transition Networks, extends Ethernet networks at near Gigabit speeds and provides power to security cameras, wireless access points, and other IP devices at distances beyond the typical 100m Ethernet cable limitation.
In addition to the Ethernet Over 2-Wire Extender With PoE+, the company will also showcase its Ethernet Over Coax Extender With PoE+, which reduces cost and accelerates time to service by utilizing existing coaxial cabling infrastructure to connect and power IP devices, such as in analog to IP surveillance camera upgrades. Transition Networks cites itself a market leader of solutions for integrating fiber into Ethernet networks, and various products facilitating fiber integration into security networks that will be represented in the booth during ISC West.
Also on display at the show will be the company’s Smart Managed PoE+ Switches. These switches feature the company's innovative Device Management System (DMS) - a technology that offers advanced tools for management of connected IP-based powered devices. The DMS capability built into the switches is new from Transition Networks and provides time-saving features enabling security integrators or network administrators to establish and document a baseline deployment, automatically discover and remotely configure attached IP-addressable powered devices (PDs), and monitor and automatically restart edge devices using Transition Networks’ Auto Power Reset feature.
“Security and surveillance equipment is becoming increasingly more sophisticated and legacy cabling or power infrastructure can make implementation of these innovative solutions costly and time consuming,” said GlenNiece Kutsch. “We’ve designed a variety of PoE+ extenders and switches to overcome those challenges so that security integrators can quickly and cost-effectively implement these solutions without installing new power runs and while maximizing the value of existing cabling infrastructure.” Learn more at www.transition.com.
