On Feb. 20, the Fiber Broadband Association (FBA) announced that that the group's annual Fiber Connect conference has been approved by BICSI as a Continuing Education Credits (CEC) opportunity. Those who attend the 2018 Fiber Connect conference, to be held June 4-8 in Nashville, TN, will be eligible to earn ten BICSI CECs. “Offering these credits is one way that we help professionals in the fiber industry stay at the top of their game,” comments Heather Burnett Gold, CEO and president of FBA.
Per the group's mission statement, "The Fiber Broadband Association—formerly the Fiber to the Home Council Americas—is the largest and only trade association in the Americas dedicated to the pursuit of all fiber-optic network infrastructure to the home, to the business and to everywhere. Since 2001, FBA has helped providers make informed decisions about how, where, and why to build better broadband networks with fiber optics, while counting on its members to lead the organization forward, collaborate with industry allies and propel fiber-optic deployments."
FBA's Gold concludes, “In an industry as dynamic as ours, we all have to keep learning and getting better at what we do. We thank BICSI for their shared commitment to excellence for all of us working in information and communications, and are looking forward to the 2018 Fiber Connect.”
