Cabling spaghetti: While far from a true natural disaster requiring a response by the federal government, it’s certainly the perennial scourge of network and data center environments everywhere.
In a photo taken in Houston, TX, on September 29, 2005, this computer worker is shown surrounded by hastily stranded network cables and connections while working at the largest disaster recovery center FEMA had ever opened, a facility set up to run hundreds of computers for Hurricane Katrina victims to use to register for disaster assistance.
