What challenges do governments and business leaders face in building the next generation of intelligent infrastructure for the 'smart cities' of the future?

A recent technology panel moderated by Vijay Vaitheeswaran, China business and finance editor for The Economist, and sponsored by Itron, a maker and installer of systems and fixed communication networks for automatic and electronic meter reading, considers the challenges governments and business leaders face in building the next generation of intelligent infrastructure for the 'smart cities' of the future.
