Panduit appoints Tom Donovan as new president and CEO

Donovan succeeds Gerald W. Caveney, "who will focus on other business opportunities," according to a company press release.
Panduit Corp., a global provider of electrical and network infrastructure cabling and connectivity, has announced the promotion of Tom Donovan to the position of president and chief executive officer. Donovan most recently served as the company’s president and chief operating officer. He succeeds Gerald W. Caveney, "who will focus on other business opportunities," according to a press release.
“As a Panduit veteran of 33 years, Tom has the industry knowledge, leadership ability, and character to provide direction to the company and its 5,000 global employees,” said Caveney. “In his newly-expanded role as president and CEO, Tom will be responsible for the overall direction of the business, developing current and long-range strategy, and leveraging the company’s strengths and capabilities to exceed our customers’ expectations.”
Donovan joined Panduit in 1982 and was named president and COO in 2013. He is a graduate of the Illinois Institute of Technology, with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, and holds an MBA in Industrial Management.
