C2G adds 3rd party transceivers, DAC cables for IoT, data centers

Dec. 12, 2016
IoT's "need for speed" drives demand for 3rd party transceivers and DAC cables by data center owners and operators, says the networking products reseller.

C2G (Dayton, OH), a provider of high performance cabling and connectivity products, has announced the addition of more than 250 new transceivers and direct attach copper (DAC) cables to its extensive selection of networking solutions.

The new transceivers and DAC cables are complemented by accessories such as cabinets, racks, and cable management products that allow C2G to serve as a single source for all of an enterprise's networking needs, "from the most obscure install to the largest colocation data centers," as asserted by the company.

"3rd party transceivers will increasingly be in demand by data center owners and operators as they adapt to the "need for speed" required in the Internet of Things era," said Sean Goodyear, C2G's product manager for Legrand. "This expansion brings our offering of transceivers to a total of nearly 400, and positions C2G as a single partner to provide for all of an organization's networking needs."

C2G notes that its transceivers and DAC cables offer the following benefits: 100% OEM compatible and application tested and guaranteed to work with the networking equipment from manufacturers like Cisco, HP, Juniper Networks and others; TAA and MSA compliant to ensure products function ideally with an OEM's transceiver; backed by a lifetime warranty, with same-day shipping for transceivers.

"Transceivers lie at the heart of most copper and fiber Ethernet networks, and our customers understand the truth about 3rd party transceivers: that they are less costly and offer greater interchangeability than OEM transceivers," concludes C2G's Goodyear. "This expansion allows us to meet the evolving networking needs of our customers as they move to accommodate the faster data transmission rates for all of tomorrow's data centers, local area networks, and digital communication systems."
