CABLExpress announced that it has raised a ten-year total of more than $100,000 for the American Cancer Society's breast cancer awareness effort.
In the tenth anniversary of its Cables for a Cure initiative, CABLExpress announced that it has raised a ten-year total of more than $100,000 for the American Cancer Society's breast cancer awareness effort. Each October, CABLExpress has donated 5 cents from every branded stock-length copper cable and 50 cents from every stock-length fiber cable sold by its partner companies CXtec and Teracai.
"Cables for a Cure was conceived by one of our teammates who has since lost her fight with breast cancer, and it truly demonstrates how one person can make a long-term difference," comments Peter Belyea, president of CXtec and Teracai. "We are very happy that our team, customers and friends have embraced this program and made it successful in raising awareness and supporting the search for a cure."
This year, CXtec, Teracai and CABLExpress sold approximately 90,000 cables in support of the cause.
