CCCA elects officers, executive committee

June 19, 2012
OFS's Bill Kloss takes over as chairman and has praise for outgoing chair Kevin Ressler.

At its recent annual meeting, the Communications Cable and Connectivity Association (CCCA) elected officers and other members of its executive committee. Bill Kloss of OFS is the CCCA's new chairman; Randy Mortensen of Anixter is the group's secretary; and Scott Brown of General Cable is treasurer. Joining them on the CCCA's executive committee are TE Connectivity's Kevin Ressler (most recent CCCA chairman), and DuPont's George Pruce.

The CCCA comprises "leading manufacturers, distributors and material suppliers who are committed to functioning as a major resource for well-researched, fact-based information on the technologies and issues vital to the structured cabling industry," the organization said.

Kloss had particular praise and thanks for Ressler "for guiding CCCA's growth and raising value to members and the structured cabling industry as a whole," he said. "I'm looking forward to CCCA's continued growth and our tradition of being proactive on important issues to strengthen our industry."

Frank Peri, CCCA's executive director, added, "We have been fortunate to have exceptional member support and participation at executive levels. It has been the hallmark of CCCA and we are well-prepared to take on new challenges and opportunities."
