Fujikura files lawsuit against Vibrant Technologies

August 24, 2009 -- Fujikura Ltd. of Japan has filed a complaint in Federal District Court in New Hampshire against Vibrant Technologies Inc. of Minnetonka, MN. The complaint alleges that Vibrant has committed various acts of unfair competition including trademark counterfeiting and trademark infringement in its unauthorized sale of Fujikura fusion splicers that had been made for use in China and whose original serial numbers had been removed.

August 24, 2009 -- On Aug. 21, 2009, Fujikura Ltd., located in Tokyo, Japan, filed a complaint in Federal District Court in New Hampshire against Vibrant Technologies Inc. of Minnetonka, MN.

The complaint alleges that Vibrant has committed various acts of unfair competition including trademark counterfeiting and trademark infringement in its unauthorized sale of Fujikura fusion splicers that had been made for use in China and whose original serial numbers had been removed.

AFL Telecommunications, a 100% owned subsidiary of Fujikura, is the only authorized agent in North America to distribute Fujikura fusion splicers.
