Brother UK has added to its labeling line-up by launching two new devices for electricians and network installers.
The upgraded P-Touch E-series range was made with these workers in mind and can be used for any datacom, telecom, electrical, or security equipment installation. Cables, conduits, switches, and sockets are “clearly identified with long-lasting, durable labels, supporting compliance with IET wiring regulations and ANSI/TIA cabling standards” with Brother’s labelers.
The new PT-E560 and PT-E310 labelers replace the PT-E50 and PT-E300. The E560’s automatic cutter has a half-cut feature which allows the user to print multiple labels at once and peel off the needed stickers when required which helps reduce tape wastage. Both labelers come with fit-for-purpose Pro Tze tapes with marked improvements in terms of specifications and have a rechargeable Li-ion battery. The devices also have Bluetooth and USB-C connectivity which enables the user to utilize them with the Brother Pro Label Tool app and P-touch Editor software with either PC or Mac.
The devices are suitable for network installers to label racks and cabinets, patch panels, equipment, telecoms outlets, port ID, LAN, and fiber optic cables. With the Pro Label Tool app, users can create, edit, and share custom templates as well as customize labels with personal information, QR codes, 2D barcodes, and company logos. Ready to print industry templates are also available such as patch panels, cable wrap, faceplate, and safety signage.
Louise Unsworth, head of labeling at Brother UK, stated, “Labeling wiring and network infrastructure is a crucial task for electricians and network installers’ compliancy. But it can represent a time drain for those without the right equipment.
Our P-Touch E-Series range of upgraded professional labeling devices are purposefully designed to help electricians and network installers to make quicker and lighter work of producing clear, durable and compliant labels while in the field.
Connectivity to the Pro Label Tool app means professionals can make compliant labels quickly and conveniently, with access to pre-made industry templates as well as the options for customization, including adding anything from a QR code and 2D barcode to a company logo. Meanwhile, our tough Pro Tape Labels are designed to withstand the harshest conditions, ensuring electrical devices are labelled for the life and duration of their use – as required by the 18th IET wiring regulations.”
All of Brother’s models in its labeling line-up are compatible with its Pro Tape Range which has been tested against water, chemicals, oil, heat, cold, sunlight, and more, while also being three times stronger than standard Tze tapes on textured surfaces per the company’s claims.
