Siemon recently launched its Bundled Fiber Trunks product line, which it says is “designed to streamline fiber-optic network installation and reduce deployment time.” The company says the trunks provide as much as 50% savings in deployment time while optimizing pathway capacity.
“Siemon’s Bundled Fiber Trunks are a game-changer for network installations,” commented Tony Walker, fiber product marketing manager for Siemon. “By simplifying the process and reducing installation time, we’re empowering our customers to achieve their project goals more efficiently and effectively.”
The bundled cables, available with singlemode or multimode fiber, are “designed to perform like single-jacket fiber,” the company said. “Whether you need assemblies, patch cords, or other fiber components, Siemon offers a comprehensive range of options.” The bundled solutions can be customized to meet exact-fiber-count requirements. The modular design permits expansion and upgrades, the company added.
“Enjoy the same high-performance and low-cost characteristics as traditional single-jacket fiber, ensuring reliable data transmission,” Siemon said, adding that the bundles’ “robust construction and advanced materials provide superior protection against environmental factors, ensuring long-term performance.”
The fiber trunks’ plenum/LS0H mesh lining delivers “optimal performance and compliance,” the company pointed out. The mesh enables the construction of high-density fiber trunks from single-jacket 8- and 12-fiber cables—speeding up the time it takes installers to get these cables.
The solution’s pulling eye makes installing and removing network cables easy: “It’s designed to handle pulling tensions of up to 100 pounds, ensuring a smooth and efficient cable installation,” according to Siemon.
The trunks integrate into Siemon’s high-density and ultra-high-density environments.
