The Fiber Broadband Association (FBA) recently announced that it was growing its 2025 Board of Directors as the association “looks to support organizational expansion and lead its members through the largest fiber broadband investment cycle ever”. For 2025 the association is adding one member to its board, and it will continue to add a member each year over the span of the next two years to have 12 members by 2027. The combined knowledge and commitment to furthering connectivity across North America of these board members will not only benefit the FBA but the members themselves as they seek innovative solutions to push fiber even more and permanently close the Digital Divide.
“The excitement within the fiber broadband industry is palpable. We’re seeing record CapEx investment in fiber broadband as we build our nation’s critical broadband infrastructure in an effort to connect every American by the end of the decade,” said Gary Bolton, President and CEO of the Fiber Broadband Association. “Our 2025 Board of Directors is filled with diverse leadership from across the fiber broadband ecosystem. Together, they will offer strategic guidance and support as our members look to navigate this crucial moment in fiber broadband history and enable universal access to reliable, high-speed internet.”
The board chair will be Ariane Schaffer beginning on January 1st, 2025, who is the Head of U.S. Federal & State Policy at GFiber. The 2025 FBA Board vice chair and secretary are Ashely Brown and Evann Freeman, respectively, with Brown being the Senior Director Field and Partner Marketing at Adtran and Freeman being the Vice President, Government & Community Relations, at EPB of Chattanooga. The treasurer will be Jimmy Todd, CEO and General Manager at Nex-Tech.
Other board members include Scott Jackson, Sachin Gupta, Mark Boxer, Roger Timmerman, Bob Whitman, and Rob Shema, all various broadband industry leaders and experts.
