Authors of ‘Beyond 100 Meters’ White Paper Discuss What Comes Next
Diane Forbes and Bob Voss—two of the four authors of the TIA’s recently published white paper on supporting applications beyond 100 meters—recently spent some time answering our questions about the white paper, the motivations behind writing it, and the TIA’s current project to publish a telecommunications systems bulletin (TSB) addressing the topic.
Early in the conversation Forbes, who is chief executive officer of NIS, and Voss, a distinguished engineer with Panduit, discuss the importance of the TIA TR-42 Committee gaining insight from the user community as they write the TSB. The TIA invites members of the cabling user community to complete this short survey, which asks about “beyond-100-meter” applications and about participants’ interest in contributing to the TSB.
You can download the complete white paper, which is titled “TIA’s Long Distance Leap: New Project to Address Application Operation Beyond 100 M” here. The paper was authored by Forbes and Voss along with Cindy Montstream and Valerie Maguire.
