Senko's Optres Handy MPO cleaner is 'touch-and-go'

The Optres Handy MPO cleaner from Senko Advanced Components uses an advanced adhesive cleaning tape, engineered by the material experts at Tomoegawa Ltd. The cleaner’s adhesive cleaning tape captures dust particles on contact without leaving a residue behind.

The Optres Handy MPO connector tool uses a touch-and-go process; this eliminates the electrostatic charging effect that attracts dust particles onto the ferrule. The cleaner is able to clean the entire area surface of the MT ferrule, as well as the metal guide pins.

The Optres Handy MPO cleaner will clean 600 unmated and in-adapter MPO connectors. The cleaner is effective for flat and angled polished MT ferrules. The tool will work on standard 12- and 24-fiber MPO connectors and the offset keyed MPO connector with the 16 fibers.
