To improve South Carolina’s connectivity infrastructure STL and TruVista have teamed up. STL is a leading optical and digital solutions company and TruVista is a 125-year-old provider of broadband services and applications. Both companies have headquarters in South Carolina and are investing heavily in the manufacturing and building of fiber networks “for South Carolina from South Carolina”.
STL has made major investments in a fiber optic technology manufacturing facility in Lugoff, South Carolina, with advanced automation. TruVista will be investing over $12 million in rural broadband, most of which will go to South Carolina. By expanding fiber optic connectivity across rural South Carolina, many residents will be able to access reliable internet speeds of 1 Gbps. This partnership proves to be fruitful for both companies and will hopefully lead the way to a long-lasting relationship. However, this isn’t the first time the companies have utilized each other.
Since 2021, STL has supplied specialized optical fiber cables including multi-loose tube, high-fiber count cables to TruVista. STL has also provided advanced cable types like the Nova A1 to allow TruVista to send out efficient FTTX systems spanning South Carolina. TruVista has also used other products by STL for faster installation.
Both CEOs have commented on the synergy of the partnership and how committed they are to providing all South Carolina residents from individuals to businesses with connectivity.
