British Columbia Institute of Technology required more space to meet increasing need for well-trained healthcare professionals throughout the area. BCIT’s Health Sciences Centre (HSC) aids with this need with its theoretical studies with scenario-based experience using many products and technologies from Extron.
“McSquared as the design consultants, AVI-SPL as the integrator, and Extron as a key equipment provider for this project worked closely as a team right up to system completion,” stated Marcel Schoenenberger, the Principal Consultant at McSquared System Design Group Inc. “Together, they provided the BCIT School of Health Sciences with one of the world's most advanced training sites for healthcare professionals.”
Extron’s NAV Pro AV over IP system makes the way for instantaneous AV signal routing of audio, USB data, and HDMI video at a high quality on BCIT’s network. Extron also has other products that make sure there is excellent sound and intuitive control at each lab station and within the control room for each pair of labs. On top of this, the company provides lecture capture and streaming capability, and content can be presented locally and remotely displayed across the campus and even further.
The Extron NAV system and other products and technologies are helping students receive the instruction and experience that is necessary to best serve the medical needs of British Columbia’s citizenry.
