EXA Infrastructure and Hurricane Electric Work Together for Global Internet Connectivity
Background on EXA and Hurricane Electric
EXA, the largest digital infrastructure platform connecting Europe and North America, and Hurricane Electric, the largest IPv6 backbone globally, are collaborating to deliver high-speed internet connectivity all around Europe and the United States.
The two have been partners for a while, and due to the partnership Hurricane Electric’s customer base can receive routing to all of Europe, North America, and wherever else the company’s network reaches.
How the collaboration aids in worldwide internet connectivity
Hurricane Electric has an extensive global network “which is connected to over 300 major exchange points and exchanges traffic directly with more than 10,000 different networks.” EXA’s infrastructure network diversity has been integral in boosting Hurricane Electric’s operations, improving their connectivity capabilities, and perhaps most importantly, expanding the company’s reach in integral regions in Europe.
Nicholas Collins, CCO at EXA Infrastructure, discussed the partnership stating, “This partnership not only highlights our route diversity and low latency capabilities, but also represents our shared commitment to optimising connections and enabling new opportunities in untapped regions."
The partnership is representative of EXA’s role in providing unique routes, optimized connections, and enhanced redundancy options, all of which are needed to allow for the success of worldwide IP players like Hurricane Electric.
