Fort Worth, Texas -- Allied Electronics received top honors at Honeywell Sensing and Control’s 2011 America’s Sales Kickoff meeting, held Jan. 16-18 in Orlando, Fla. Honeywell honored Allied with the Gold Distributor Award, the company’s highest achievement award, for surpassing all other distributor channels in performance, sales growth and teamwork during 2010.
“We are very happy to be recognized by Honeywell for such a prestigious award,” says Scott McLendon, Allied Vice President of Product Management and Marketing. “Our relationship with Honeywell has enabled us to work closely together to deliver value to our customers. Our results and this recognition confirm that we are doing the right things, and we look forward to continued success with this world class supplier.”
Honeywell gave several awards during the meeting, with Allied being the only distributor recognized with the prestigious Gold Distributor Award.
“With Allied Electronics, Honeywell has seen both a significant increase in sales as well as in new customer count in 2010 that exceeded our expectations,” stated Sean Conley, Honeywell’s Director of Global Distribution Sales and Strategy. “Allied plays a critical role in Honeywell’s distribution strategy with their focus on new product introductions and key focus products to serve our mutual customers.”
“To be the top distributor for Honeywell, it takes the whole team pulling together,” says Allied President Lee Davidson. “We had a tremendous year, and this is one of my proudest moments.”
The event was attended by representatives from all Honeywell distributors and Honeywell employees. Allied was represented by President Lee Davidson, Vice President of Product Management and Marketing Scott McLendon, Vice President of Sales Mark Simon, Product Marketing Manager John Overholt and Product Director Frank Cantwell.
