ASI recently expanded its panel-mount RJ45 and USB connectors; the newest waterproof ports can be covered with protection caps.
Automation Systems Interconnect (ASI) expanded its line of panel-mount connectors by offering waterproof RJ45 and USB ports. “The panel-mount RJ45 receptacle provides Ethernet connectivity for industrial environments, has gold-plated contacts and is shielded,” the company said. “The panel-mount USB receptacle provides USB connectivity for data transmission in industrial environments, has gold-plated contacts on front and4 solder connection pins and shield in back.”
The company explained that when covered by the ASICPICPC cap, the RJ45 and USB connectors “are protected from dust, debris and can withstand immersion in liquid up to 1 meter deep for IP67, NEMA 6 and 6P.” It added: “The ASICPICRJ45S is rated at 1.5 Amps at 125 Volts. The ASICPICUSB2.0AS is rated 1.5 Amps at 30 Volts AC/DC.”
