The how-to instruction will be part of a data center-themed web seminar.
As part of a data center-themed web seminar that will be held on November 8, Sumitomo Electric Lightwave’s Joshua Seawell will demonstrate the tools and procedures by which installation technicians can field-terminate MPO-style fiber connectors. Seawell, who is director of Sumitomo Electric Lightwave’s lightwave network products division, will deliver the presentation entitled “MPO Field-Installable Connectors – Keys to Successful MPO Field Terminations.”
It is one of three presentations that will be delivered during the seminar that is titled “Cabling and Managing the Evolving Data Center.” The other presentations are:
Containment Options for Thermal Management – Delivered by Chatsworth Products Inc.’s global technology manager Ian Seaton.
Assuring System Performance – Delivered by JDSU’s product line manager for fiber test and inspection Tyler Vander Ploeg.
The seminar is expected to last approximately one hour. Individuals who attend the seminar in its entirety qualify to earn one continuing education credit from BICSI for the association’s professional credentials.
After its live broadcast at 1pm EST on November 8, the seminar will be available for on-demanding viewing for six months.
