March 17, 2009 -- Mellanox Technologies, a supplier of end-to-end connectivity platforms for data center servers and storage, announced that it has appointed John Monson as vice president of marketing. Monson will be responsible for Mellanox's worldwide marketing and the implementation of marketing initiatives designed to expand penetration in key markets. He will report directly to Eyal Waldman, chairman, president and CEO of Mellanox.
Monson has over 20 years of experience in engineering, marketing and sales with leading edge technology companies. Most recently, he was vice president of marketing and business development for Inphi Corporation where he managed the EDC/PhyOptik business line. Prior to this, he was vice president of sales and marketing for Scintera Networks with responsibility for strategy, product marketing and business development. His background also includes 8 years at PMC-Sierra in executive and senior management positions in marketing and sales where he was instrumental in establishing PMC in the market and enabling the company's growth. Prior to joining PMC-Sierra, he spent 7 years at Lucent Technologies where he served in strategic sales and product marketing positions in Lucent's mass storage and wireless product lines. Previously, he was the Strategic Marketing Manager at Honeywell Solid State Electronics Center and held engineering and marketing positions at VTC Incorporated.

Monson graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor's of Science degree in electrical engineering.
