February 11, 2009 -- The Model 6008 from Electro Standards Laboratories is a preterminated fiber-optic cassette that breaks out a single MTP 8-strand singlemode fiber cable into 8 separate ST military-style connectors. Each ST connector is a single-strand singlemode military-style connector. Up to three Model 6008 cassettes mount into the company's Model 3294 rack-mount fiber-patch enclosure.
The Model 6008's cabling side contains an MTP interface for connecting the trunk or backbone cabling. An internal optical assembly within the cassette interconnects the rear and front ports. Plugging patch cords from equipment into the front-panel military-style connectors establishes a circuit connection.
