Transition Networks announced it will display various solutions from its extensive product portfolio at the upcoming 2017 BICSI Winter Conference & Exhibition (Jan. 22 - 26) in Tampa, FL. Some of the products in the company's booth #712 will include the company’s media converters, a variety of Power over Ethernet (PoE) products, and more.

Several recently released and soon-to-be-released products from Transition will also be on display. The company's new Ethernet Extenders with PoE+ allow the use of existing coax or 2-wire cabling to extend Ethernet beyond the traditional 100-meter cable limit. The Ethernet Extenders provide the ability to quickly and easily upgrade Ethernet networks with PoE-powered IP devices using existing cabling infrastructure. Additionally, the extenders provide full PoE+ power to connected IP devices in remote locations that are difficult to reach or costly to reach with power cables, reducing installation cost and time to service.

Transition Networks will also display its Ethernet Extenders with PoE+ in the BICSI New Product Pavilion (NPP), where visitors can vote for the 'Best in Show' exhibitor, as well as first place winners in each of the NPP categories. Also on display will be Transition's new industrial-rated switches and managed PoE+ switches with various port counts. These switches feature dynamic host configuration protocol (DHCP) server port-based address allocation and auto power reset (APR) capabilities to make the installation and maintenance of IP cameras quick and easy.

“The network infrastructure, including switches, fiber-optic links, and unshielded twisted pair (UTP) cabling, is one of the most critical elements for delivering Ethernet services,” comments Transition Networks' Curt Carlson. “We consider the BICSI Winter Conference and Exhibition to be one of the most important conferences for networking infrastructure, and we look forward to sharing our new solutions with the BICSI community in our 16th year of attendance.”
