End-to-End Shielded Category 6A Cabling System

CommScope has introduced the Systimax GigaShield X10D end-to-end Category 6A shielded platform for high-speed copper networks. The platform builds on the company’s Systimax 2.0 portfolio, with F/UTP, F/FTP, and S/FTP cabling along with MiNo shielded patch cords, MGS600S jacks (pictured below), InstaPatch integration, and preloaded panels supporting imVision and VisiPort solutions.

Our end-to-end Cat 6A shielded platform delivers the flexibility and peace of mind our customers have come to expect from CommScope.”

This addition to the Systimax 2.0 portfolio offers F/UTP, F/FTP, and S/FTP cables and patch cords with optimal electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radio frequency interference (RFI) rejection.

The MGS600S Jack, part of CommScope's GigaShield X10D Category 6A Platform, is a modular keystone RJ45 jack with a compact M-series footprint that uses a universal termination tool, and is available in indoor and outdoor versions.

The company pointed out the following characteristics of the GigaShield X10D platform.

A single platform supports all indoor and outdoor Category 6A shielded applications, exceeding ISO/IEC and TIA industry standards for channel performance.
F/UTP, F/FTP, and S/FTP technology delivers optimal EMI and RFI protection.
Eco-friendly design reduces single-use plastics; leverages a modular architecture to reduce the number of network components as well as resources needed to produce, distribute, and support them; and carries an extended lifecycle to delay the need for upgrades and reduce the network’s carbon footprint.
Full integration with port monitoring (Systimax VisiPort) and AIM (Systimax imVision) solutions to monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize network performance and resources in real time.
The new MGS600S jack offers compatibility with CommScope’s Jack Termination Tool (JTT) to ensure rapid, reliable installation.
Systimax InstaPatch preterminated assemblies improve installation times up to 80% compared to field-terminated solutions.
The platform comes with a range of support options, including CommScope’s 25-year product and application warranty as well as the Systimac Assurance program, which includes design assistance and other services.
