Visionary Broadband has successfully aided in closing the digital divide by delivering high-speed fiber broadband connectivity to over 10,000 residents in Wyoming, Colorado, and Montana. This is part of the company’s vision to bring digital equity to communities typically unreached due to economic and geographic situations.
The company’s expansion helps make sure that residents in rural and remote environments have easy access to reliable, high-speed internet for not only work and education, but also healthcare, entertainment, and more. It also brings more economic opportunities and provides digital empowerment to those in these historically underserved communities.
Going beyond the 10,000 benchmark, Visionary Broadband brought connection to 6,498 homes in Wyoming, 3,662 in Colorado, and 304 in Montana.
“Access to high-speed fiber broadband is a necessity,” said Brian Worthen, CEO of Visionary Broadband. “Visionary has made incredible progress to bring connectivity to rural areas that have been historically neglected.”
Fiber broadband can be critically important to those in rural areas as people can utilize Wi-Fi and make emergency calls over an internet connection if they do not have reliable cellular coverage.
