Greenlight Networks Announces Planned Acquisition of Loop Internet
Greenlight Networks recently announced that it has reached an agreement to acquire Loop Internet. In April, Greenlight released news of its Pennsylvania expansion and plans to build fiber networks in the state’s Northeast and South-Central areas. In PR Newswire’s coverage of the acquisition they said, “The acquisition of Loop Internet will significantly expand Greenlight's presence in the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton area and accelerate the deployment of its state-of-the-art fiber network.”
Mark Murphy, CEO of Greenlight Networks, stated, "We are thrilled at the prospect of welcoming Loop Internet, their associates, and customers to Greenlight Networks. Loop's existing network footprint complements our current and planned service areas, and will provide a critical base of operations, in addition to key personnel and resources in the Scranton area. By joining forces, we can move faster into new markets, operate more efficiently, and deliver an exceptional customer experience to even more consumers."
"We're proud of what we've built at Loop Internet, and this next chapter with Greenlight Networks is an exciting evolution of that journey, that enables us to accelerate our plans," said Chris Hacken, Founder of Loop Internet.
Jason Wasmanski, General Manager of Loop Internet, adds, "Joining forces with Greenlight Networks will help us bring fast, reliable internet to more communities. Greenlight shares our passion for exceptional service and commitment to building stronger neighborhoods through reliable, high-speed connectivity."
It’s anticipated that with this acquisition Greenlight will create more opportunities through its investments in the area, including partnerships with local contractors and businesses, more local hiring, and further efforts to engage with communities.
