“One Big Beautiful Bill Act” Passage Leads AT&T to Accelerate Fiber Infrastructure Plans

AT&T reacts positively to the passage of the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act” and fast-tracks its fiber network expansion.

Per an AT&T press release, shortly after the passage of the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act”, the company plans on speeding up fiber infrastructure expansion. The company states that the legislation will encourage investment, create network opportunities across the country, and will keep the U.S. at the forefront of innovation.

“This bill also creates a pipeline of midband spectrum that will help meet soaring consumer demand and keep the U.S. technologically competitive with other countries. Paired with the tax provisions in the bill, this legislation paves the way for the stated goals laid out by FCC Chairman Brendan Carr: unleashing high-speed infrastructure builds and restoring America’s global lead in wireless technology through smart policy.”

After giving thanks to various congress members and the president, the company says that it plans to give an update on the anticipated impact of the act on AT&T’s 2025 and long-term financial outlook, as well as capital allocation plans with its soon to be released second quarter results.
