Mellanox data center interconnect products now available via Synnex's GSA schedule

GSA contract provides quick and easy access to Mellanox's complete line of interconnect solutions for U.S. Government agencies.

Mellanox Technologies (NASDAQ: MLNX), a supplier of end-to-end interconnect for data center servers and storage systems, announced that its full line of end-to-end InfiniBand and Ethernet interconnect products are now available through Synnex Corporation's (NYSE: SNX) General Services Administration (GSA) schedule.

Synnex government solution providers can now deliver Mellanox's solutions to U.S. federal, state and local government agencies, with more efficiency and minimal administrative overhead. GSA contracts are the most widely used government contract vehicle for procurement by U.S. federal, state and local governments. Due to pre-negotiated pricing, terms, and conditions that streamline the government sales process, GSA contracts simplify the procurement process and enable government agencies to make purchases quickly and easily.

"Many government agencies need high-performance networking for complex projects that require the processing of large amounts of data over distributed systems," comments Dale D'Alessio, CEO of Mellanox Federal Systems, a subsidiary of Mellanox Technologies, Inc. responsible for driving business development for all federal government agencies and the federal integrator market.

Through Synnex, the only distributor to offer Mellanox on its GSA schedule, government agencies now have better access to and can significantly reduce costs associated with deploying Mellanox's high speed, low-latency end-to-end interconnect solutions. D'Alessio adds, "Mellanox has delivered high-performance interconnect solutions to meet government IT networking needs for over 10 years. Now that our full lines of InfiniBand and Ethernet solutions are available through the Synnex GSA schedule, government agencies can deploy our products more quickly and at a lower cost."

"By teaming up with Mellanox Federal Systems, we're able to provide our government solutions partners and their customers with simple and efficient access to high end interconnect technologies," concludes Eddie Franklin, vice president, sales, public sector and vertical markets, Synnex Corporation. "Through the Synnex GOVSolv group, our government solutions partners have access to various top manufacturers on our GSA Schedule, allowing them to leverage our logistics capabilities without incurring the corresponding administrative overhead."
