Graybar shifts in new district VPs

New Phoenix and St. Louis district vice presidents are appointed from within the distributor.

Graybar has appointed Mike Dumas as its district vice president in Phoenix, and Rich Birkett as district vice president in St. Louis, effective Feb. 1, 2014.

Dumas has served as the distributor's St. Louis district vice president for the past four years, and joined the company 27 years ago as a management trainee in Dallas. He advanced through various financial roles early in his career and later served as Graybar's strategic account manager and director, corporate accounts. He was promoted to vice president, comm/data in 2005 and was appointed to his current role in 2009. Mike has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Tarleton State University.

Dumas will be replaced as St. Louis district vice president by Rich Birkett, who has served as director, finance in Graybar’s California District since 2003. Birkett joined the company more than 33 years ago as a financial student in Los Angeles, and has advanced through the distributor's finance organization in the California District. He has a bachelor’s degree in marketing management from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Phoenix.
