A recent series of videos takes viewers through the top 5 recommended best practices for energy efficiency from Google's data center experts. "There are many simple design choices that you can apply to both small and large data centers to improve the efficiency of a data center facility," notes the company.

The second video in the series describes "one of the most fundamental best practices" for any facility, i.e. managing airflow.

The video also takes a tour around one of Google's corporate data centers, and describes some of the all-purpose fixes implemented to increase the efficiency of that facility.
