Total Cable Solutions (TCS) announced on April 30 that it has agreed to acquire Conexus Technologies Inc. in a deal expected to close June 30. “The acquisition will be achieved through an exchange of company shares and assets,” TCS explained. “By acquiring Conexus, TCS will create a more-comprehensive infrastructure that will enable a wider offering of services and stocked inventory to support resellers and their customers. The combined resources will accelerate the continued growth of Total Cable Solutions’ structured cabling and services business.”
According to an announcement of the acquisition, Conexus “provides precision, factory-terminated plug-and-play cable assemblies for physical connectivity products for the raised floor data center environment.” In the same announcement, TCS described itself as “a structured cabling company specializing in complete end-to-end cabling solutions” with services including assessment, design and implementation of data center infrastructure, project management and 10/40/100G connectivity solutions.
As part of the acquisition, Conexus Technologies’ president Christopher Shoop will become director of data center services, a new division of TCS. “Having Chris on board adds a well-respected expert to our staff, while furthering our goal to become a leader in the structured cabling and services business,” said Charles Hoskins, chief executive officer of TCS.

Our customers will notice immediate enhancements in communication, product lead times and administrative support.”
