ATEN announced that its new KL1116VN 16-Port Cat 5 Dual Rail LCD KVM Over IP Switch with Virtual Media will make its debut at this week's Data Center World (April 3-6) in Los Angeles.

ATEN announced that its new KL1116VN 16-Port Cat 5 Dual Rail LCD KVM Over IP Switch with Virtual Media will make its debut at this week's Data Center World (April 3-6) in Los Angeles at the company's booth #1045. The ATEN KL1116VN offers a dual rail housing with a 1U design for convenient operation, and a LED illumination light to allow visibility in low-light conditions.

Exclusive features of the new product, according to the company, include high-grade security supporting FIPS 140-2 level 1 security standards, 2x faster virtual media transmission speeds*, and an advanced FPGA graphics processor with an HD resolution of 1920x1200. When incorporated with ATEN's Rack KVM switches and Cat 5 KVM switches, the new product is billed as "fully scalable." Shahrukh Mirza, sales director at ATEN adds, “ATEN is pleased to be a part of Data Center World this year, and we are looking forward to demonstrating how the new KL1116VN maximizes space on server racks with its dual rail design.”

Also at Data Center World, ATEN will present on its overall KVM Over IP solution, to show how KVM matrices function in control rooms and create workspace flexibility by providing instant access to various servers and video sources. The company's KE6900 is an IP-based DVI KVM extender designed to deliver the ultimate flexibility for extending, sharing and controlling multiple computers from any location on a network. With its video wall function, shared access modes and advanced security options, the solution is fitting for broadcasting and traffic control rooms; AES-128 bits encryption also makes it ideal for security. In retail applications, the system can connect point-of-sales consoles with computers to centralize the IT infrastructure in a server room.

Another highlight at the ATEN's show booth will be the KN2124VA. This IP-based KVM control unit allows administrators to monitor and access multiple computers locally or from remote locations using a standard Internet browser. The KN2124VA is built to ensure 24/7 availability for remote access to all servers.

Further, to show ATEN’s commitment to offering smart energy solutions for data centers, the company's Energy Intelligence PDUs (PE8208/PE8216B) will be on display. These eco-friendly PDUs have been developed to increase the efficiency of data center power usage and are used in various industries around the world, including education, government, and transportation, as well as enterprise and medium-sized businesses.
