June 11 through 13, 2024, Cabling Installation & Maintenance will join fellow Endeavor Business Media brands Data Center Frontier, Lightwave, and Security Info Watch to host the Data Center Summit—a combination of panel discussions, hour-long standalone sessions, and half-hour presentations all focused on different aspects of data center administration.
A roundtable discussion titled “Fiber-Optic Cable and Connectivity for Data Center Networks—Technology Evolution and New Updates” will take place on Wednesday, June 12 at 11:00am EDT. Panelists for that session will be Joshua Seawell, director of product management for Sumitomo Electric Lightwave; Charlene Roux, global product marketing for hyperscale data centers with VIAVI Solutions; Matthew Baldassano, manager of systems engineering for CommScope; and Jonathan Jew, principal of J&M Consultants Inc.
Other session titles that will be presented throughout the event include the following.
- AI and Data Centers: Getting Smarter About Video Surveillance
- AI’s Growing Influence on Data Centers
- Building the Foundation for AI Networks
- Cooling Innovations in High-Density Computing Environments: From Air to Liquid Solutions

In describing the event as a whole, the organizers explained, “Data centers are the world’s most demanding technological environments, serving as the epicenters of interconnectivity for global communications. Regardless of the amount of computing power within it, a data center has exacting requirements of the products and systems that serve it. During the Data Center Summit, you’ll have the opportunity to learn about the systems, technologies, and practices that are moving data centers forward.”
Unlike many hour-long webinars hosted by Cabling Installation & Maintenance, sessions within the Data Center Summit are not approved for continuing education credits from BICSI. Attendees of Data Center Summit events will, however, receive a certificate of attendance for their own documentation.
