1623 Farnam began the project in 2022 with the design of the custom-made noise-canceling enclosures. The deployment means that there will be improved hyperscale connectivity and that the company’s peering ecosystem will have an additional three megawatts of usable power.
According to a previous 1623 Farnam press release the company “has been experiencing ongoing expansion within its high-value hyperscale peering ecosystem”. The ecosystem has significant technology leaders and “robust regional hyperscale construction” which has shown increased demand for powerful connectivity from over 60 carriers.
1623 Farnam’s data center and IX site is located in a centralized spot in the United States at the interconnection point for the nation’s largest east/west and north/south routes, which makes it at the center of secure on ramps to some of the world’s biggest cloud providers. Due to the prime location of the IX site and data center, 1623 Farnam continues to invest in and improve its facility.
Bill Severn, President and CEO at 1623 Farnam, commented on the project stating, “This generator deployment represents more than just a new equipment addition. It represents our customers’ ability to meet their innovation requirements in a facility that truly listens, understands and provides solutions that work every time.”
