A web-delivered seminar to be held live on March 30 will include two presentations focused on fiber-optic technologies. Entitled Fiber-Optic Cable, Connectivity and Management for High Speeds and High Density, the seminar will include presentations delivered by fiber-optic experts from Corning Optical Fiber and Corning Cable Systems.
First Ravi Yekua, multimode fiber product line manager with Corning Optical Fiber, will provide information comparing multimode fiber to singlemode fiber, explaining the advantages end users gain by choosing multimode in many situations. His presentation will also include information on recent technological developments within the realm of multimode, particularly including bend-insensitivity.
Then Eric Klaiber, data center marketing specialist with Corning Cable Systems, will discuss the fiber-optic cable options available for high-density connectivity environments. He will cover the cable-construction and connectivity styles for high-density deployments, contrasting them with the solutions typically used in traditional, less-dense installations. Kozischek's presentation will also discuss the hardware in which high-density fiber-optic circuits are housed.
Attendees of the seminar will be eligible to receive one continuing education credit (CEC) for the following professional designations offered by BICSI: RCDD, RITP, Installer 2 Copper/Fiber, Technician and Certified Trainer.
The seminar is expected to last between 60 and 75 minutes.
