A web seminar to be hosted by Cabling Installation & Maintenance and delivered live on June 28 will investigate how the the perpetual network trends of faster speeds and higher density are most evident in data center environments, where information transfer continues to accelerate rapidly and real estate is always at a premium.
Presented by Kam Patel, TE Connectivity's business line manager for enterprise data center solutions, the seminar will examine how the layer-one cabling infrastructure that supports the ever-increasing density of network connections must evolve by shrinking its footprint, while supporting a given transmission speed, accommodating faster speeds within a current footprint, or both.
The seminar will ultimately explain the practical implications of this “faster/smaller” continuous evolution, as viewed through the lens of a trio of topics including: next-generation optical Ethernet standards; working with multi-fiber cable; and spatial management for high-density cabling.
The webcast will earn each attendee 1 CEC for the following BICSI credentials: RCDD, RITP, DCDC, NTS, Installer 2, Technician, Certified Trainer.
